We have read-only access to your bank data. We cannot move money, make transactions, or change anything in your accounts.

We never sell your data. Your financial information is never sold to third parties.

We're a tool, not a tax advisor. TaxRaft helps organize your data, but we're not CPAs or tax attorneys. Always consult a qualified professional.

You can delete your data anytime. Export your information and request deletion whenever you want.

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using TaxRaft ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

TaxRaft is a software application that helps rental property owners organize financial transactions and prepare Schedule E tax forms. The Service may include importing financial transactions, AI-assisted categorization of expenses, depreciation calculations, PDF export of Schedule E forms, and receipt storage.

2.1 What TaxRaft Is NOT

TaxRaft is NOT a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) firm, law firm, registered investment advisor, or tax preparation service. The Service does NOT provide tax advice, file tax returns on your behalf, or guarantee the accuracy of tax calculations. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of your tax filings. We strongly recommend consulting with a qualified tax professional before filing your taxes.

3. Beta Service Terms

Portions of the Service may be designated as "Beta," "Preview," or "Early Access." By using Beta features, you acknowledge that: Beta features are provided "AS IS" without warranty, may contain bugs or inaccuracies, may be modified or discontinued at any time, and are not intended for production tax filing without professional review.

4. Account Registration and Security

To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate information, maintain password security, accept responsibility for all activities under your account, and notify us immediately of any unauthorized access. You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service.

5. Financial Data and Plaid Integration

TaxRaft uses Plaid Inc. ("Plaid") to gather your financial data from financial institutions. By using the Service, you grant TaxRaft and Plaid the right to access and transmit your personal and financial information.

TaxRaft has READ-ONLY access to your financial accounts. This means we:

  • CAN view transaction history and account balances
  • CANNOT move money between accounts
  • CANNOT initiate transfers or payments
  • CANNOT modify any account settings

Your bank login credentials are NEVER stored on TaxRaft servers. All authentication is handled directly by Plaid.

6. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Verifying the accuracy of all imported transactions
  • Correctly categorizing expenses for your specific tax situation
  • Ensuring depreciation calculations are appropriate for your property
  • Reviewing all generated forms before filing
  • Consulting a CPA or tax attorney for advice on your specific situation

7. Payment Terms

The free tier includes limited features as described on our pricing page. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. Monthly subscriptions may be cancelled at any time but are non-refundable for the current billing period. We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days notice.

8. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TAXRAFT DOES NOT WARRANT THAT the Service will meet your specific tax requirements, AI categorizations will be accurate, depreciation calculations will be correct, or generated forms will be accepted by the IRS.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TAXRAFT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, any loss of profits or data, any damages arising from your reliance on the Service, or any tax penalties, interest, or additional taxes assessed by any tax authority.

9. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend your account for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your access to the Service will be disabled, you may request export of your data within 30 days, and we will delete your data within 30 days.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use after such notice constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
